I was thinking about you today,
A wonder-fied mist of all my mistakes.
I remember still: the words you say;
How you used them to keep me trapped in pain.
You were a restraint; I was always bound to your chains.
Always think before you act,
Never be spontaneous, you’d get in trouble for that.
I don’t hate you for the pain you’ve caused;
I never assumed, there had to be a get out clause.
Just never thought I’d become so exposed,
Go from someone nobody knows,
To a person filled with a hundred different pieces,
Made entirely of a patchwork soul.
