She looked at him as if to say,
I understand, I can feel your pain.
Although, she knew he could not see through her eyes,
To the inner workings of her mind.
Parts of her brain, were still caged,
But he knew every day with her,
Would be never quite the same.
She wasn’t trapped in any place,
Caught up in any sort of disgrace,
But she had everything stored in a hazy part of her brain,
An essence of time and space,
Nothing ever lost, everything traced.
It’s wound up like a tight ball of string,
Unravelling further, the thought;
In love, you can never win.
